The first day of the festival will be characterised by what we at WATCH DOCS do best – question and answer sessions with guests.

DRAW DOCS – a poster exhibition inspired by films of the 13th WATCH DOCS

This year during the International Film Festival WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film (Warsaw, December 6-12) there will be a special exhibition held showcasing posters inspired by documentaries from the 13th edition of the festival. The posters are created by artists who through their work created visual reviews of the films screened at WATCH DOCS.

Master class: Maria Ramos

On Saturday, 7th December 2013, during the 13th edition of International Film Festival WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film there will be a master class held with the recipient of this year’s Marek Nowicki Prize, the master of contemporary documentary cinema – Maria Ramos.

Oscar laureate at 13th WATCH DOCS

Roger Ross Williams, who received an Oscar for best short-length documentary, will be a guest at the 13th WATCH DOCS. The director will meet with the festival’s audience after the screening of his new disturbing film, God Loves Uganda.

Jury of the 13th edition of WATCH DOCS

As every year, the section of the festival which gathers most attention is the competition for the WATCH DOCS Award. Amongst the films competing for the award at the 13th edition of the festival there are several documentaries from around the world. The decision as to which film will leave Warsaw with the prize, as always, will be left to an international jury.

One World Echoes at WATCH DOCS

This year the biggest human rights film festival in the world – One World in Prague – celebrated its fifteenth birthday. To mark this occasion partnering festivals from all over the world are organising screenings of selected documentaries from the 15th edition of One World. Respectively, WATCH DOCS would also like to celebrate this anniversary by screening five exceptional documentaries from various parts of the world under a One World Echoes banner.
