The 15th Bergen International Film Festival, one of the biggest film events in the Scandinavia and a partner of the WATCH DOCS IFF, kicks off on September 24.
This year, both festivals prepared a joint program, which features documentaries about the European cultural diversity (http://www.biff.no/filmer/?language=english#cat_all-Europa-days_all-N). In Bergen, they will be presented in the following two weeks while in Warsaw–in December. In both cities, screenings of the film Ukraine Is Not A Brothel - The Femen Story will be coupled with panel debates on the ethics in documentary filmmaking. The joint project of BIFF and WATCH DOCS is supported by the “Promotion of Diversity in Culture and Arts within European Cultural Heritage” Programme grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland.
