13th WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film Travelling Film Festival Sets off on a Tour across Poland

In 2015, the WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film Travelling Film Festival will be organized in around 40 cities, towns, and villages across Poland. On March 14, the festival will kick off in Lublin, where the program will feature, among others, a debate “Contemporary Human Rights Challenges,” with the participation of the Chair of the Board of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights Danuta Przywara and the President of the University College of Enterprise and Administration Agnieszka Rybczyńska.

Special screening-"PMR – In the State of Limbo"

On Thursday, March 12, together with Zachęta National Gallery of Art, we would like to invite you to the screening of a documentary PMR – In the State of Limbo by Meelis Muhu and Kristina Norman, which accompanies the exhibition “Waiting for Better Times” organized in Zachęta Project Room.

We already know the top 10 list of the most popular movies among the 14th WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film IFF viewers. This year’s WATCH DOCS Audience Award went to Norwegian filmmaker Frode Fimland–director of Siblings Are Forever.

The last day of the festival

Today, we will get to know the winners of the 14th WATCH DOCS. Human Rights in Film IFF. However, before we learn who won this year’s WATCH DOCS Award, we would like to invite you to the last six screenings scheduled for Sunday.

The penultimate day of the festival

The festival events scheduled for Saturday will begin at 12:00 with a breakfast accompanied by a special screening of Gringo Trails at the festival club–Café Kulturalna.

The eighth day of the festival

On Friday, we decided to focus our attention on Ukraine. We will start today’s screenings with the presentation of Euromaidan. The Rough Cut, which will be followed by a Q&A with the producer of the film–Julia Serdyukova.

It has already been a week since the festival kicked off. On the seventh day of the festival, we would like to invite you to take part in two debates.

Wednesday at WATCH DOCS

In the program for Wednesday, Polish films outnumber foreign productions.

Tuesday at WATCH DOCS

On the fifth day of WATCH DOCS, the festival audience will first and foremost have an opportunity to take part in the master class with a laureate of the Golden Leopard (the top prize at the Locarno IFF) –Fernand Melgar. However, Melgar will not be the only filmmaker who will meet with the viewers this day.
