On December 10, during the closing ceremony of the 15th WATCH DOCS, the first edition of WATCH DOCS in Belarus kicked off in Minsk.
On the last day of the 15th WATCH DOCS IFF, which falls on the international Human Rights Day, the viewers will have an opportunity to take part in seven screenings, including a short films program.
The program of the 15th WATCH DOCS IFF features 65 documentaries. Apart from nearly 100 screenings in Muranów Cinema, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, Iluzjon Cinema, and Antropos Cinema, selected documentaries can also be watched online on Kinoplex.pl.
Monday at the festival features two discussions: the “Activists Speak,” workshop during which invited guests will debunk myths about social activism, as well as “Unheard of Tales” in connection with the screening of the in competition film “The Dybbuk. A Tale of Wandering Souls.”
Saturday at the festival means two big events. At Kino Muranów there will be a debate entitled “Freedom in the Arab world – revolt of the elites, revolt of the masses” related to this year’s Sakharoff Prize by the European Parliament to Raif Badawi, a Saudi blogger. The second important event associated with the Arab world will be a screening of the film “Team E” and a Q&A with its protagonist, Anna Neistat.
