Israel and Palestine: Mourning the Loss of Human Rights. Discussion after the screening of “Mourning in Lod”

International organizations have been striving for years to protect people in Palestine and Israel from the consequences of human rights violations and to provide objective data about the situation in the Gaza Strip. What do these pieces of information mean and where do they come from? How should we discuss them in the public sphere? 

Lyudmila Anannikova – journalist at "Duży Format". Born in 1984 in Kazan, she graduated from the Higher School of Humanities and Journalism in Poznań. For her texts she has been nominated several times in the most important Polish journalistic competitions (including two nominations for the "Grand Press" award).

Draginja Nadażdin - Director General of the Office of Médecins Sans Frontières in Poland, formerly Director of the Polish branch of Amnesty International, member of the Social Council of the Ombudsman for Civil Rights Protection and member of the Programme Council of the Zachęta National Gallery. Awarded the Golden Cross of Merit. 

Jakub Szymczak – programme officer of the Amnesty International Association, the regional section of the largest international human rights movement. Coordinator of international campaigns, including, among others: human rights crises in armed conflicts and "individuals at risk".

The debate will be held in Polish only.
