Polish premiere of “20 Days in Mariupol” + Q&A with film protagonists

A shocking indictment of Russia. A record of Mariupol’s extermination shot by the only correspondent who remained in the besieged city to the end and risked his life to do so. The film won the crew a Pulitzer Prize.

Vasilysa Stepanenko – producer of '20 Days in Mariupol'. Together with the film's director, Mstislav Chernov, she documented Russian war crimes. She was included in the list of the 100 most influential Ukrainians and in the Forbes "30 under 30" list.  

Lyudmila Vaskovskaya – the protagonist of the film. An anaesthesiologist at the maternity hospital No. 2 in Mariupol, she rescued the wounded after the outbreak of war. After three weeks of siege she miraculously managed to leave the city. 

The Husak family – the protagonists of the film. At the beginning of the full-scale war, twelve-year-old Vladislav lost his parents. His mother was seriously wounded, the building where they lived was bombed. After fleeing Mariupol, the family settled in the Netherlands.   

Zhenia Klimakin – journalist, editor-in-chief of the "Nowa Polszcza" portal, volunteer. He has worked for the Polish Radio, culture.pl, TVN and the TV channel "1+1". In recent years, she has been interviewing survivors of severe trauma: prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, mothers of killed Ukrainian soldiers, Ukrainian refugee women.
