Camille Arlien spends six years closely following Jannik, a young rapper struggling to stay afloat after his release from prison. Incarcerated as a teenager, convicted of attempted murder; behind bars, he finished school and learned to channel his seething anger into verses, honest to the point of pain. Freedom offers him both opportunity and danger: a chance to pursue his musical passion, yet one shadowed by risky choices. Shady acquaintances and old habits pull Jannik back into darkness. Escaping one problem, he falls into another as his attempts to adapt to ordinary life keep ending in dead ends. A juvenile rehabilitation program may give him a second chance, but memories of prison continue to rouse the demons of his past.
